Hiring a car (sure has been discussed many times) - Page 2

I book a car through rentalcars.com an app on my phone. As others have said if you want the very best assurance you will have to take out the hire company insurance.  I know that there have been horror stories but I have hired about 8 times using my uk company excess.  When I have returned the car they have always checked the car but not in the way some have experienced.  It takes them around 2 or 3 minutes to check and approve.  I always use companies at the airport but other than that it is whoever is cheapest.  Maybe I will regret but as I am disabled I need a car and so far cant complain at all.

We have just booked through       Mocar. my husband did loads of research first because he didn’t want a large amount blocked on the card and had also had bad experience with goldcar previously. 

I have booked with mocar also - be first time using these, they are gong to meet me at Alemeria airport, so be interesting how it all works out

They factor in full insurance, they are very relaxed and easy to deal with. You do the paperwork online before arriving at the airport. They meet you on the car park, so no massive queues. You sign and drive away. 

Their cars are a little older however they give a great service and have an office in Mojacar with English speaking staff.
