Hello,

we are travelling to roquetas de mar on 23 July for a week. Can you tell me what the situation is regarding restaurants please. Are they open? Do you need mask? Many thanks

Hi Jenni 78. Masks are compulsory here and must be worn at all times when in shops and public places.Outside spaces also if you cannot maintain 1.5 metres distance apart from people You can take mask off to eat or drink obviously. When going to toilets or bar you must put your mask on.Hand sanitizers are also provided.  Hope this helps and that you have a nice stay here.

Just to add to this; a new law for region of Andalucia is being discussed Monday that would compel everyone in Andalucia by law to wear a mask at ALL times when outside. It seems likely this will be introduced Tuesday 14th

It will mean any public space whatsoever will require you to be masked, irrespective of whether 1,5 metres distance can be maintained.

Noticed this has happened in other regions. Does this include taking exercise such as walking? Difficult to find any definitive information.

Going by what I heard this morning on RNE-5, walking - yes, wear a mask; running - no, that is considered exercising
