I am going to Roquetas De Mar in May and need to know where I can get PCR to return to Ireland? I saw one post which said 48 hours for test result. That's too long to wait with flight etc Is there anywhere does express PCR testing? Thanks

Hi Skel

Right now all you need to get to Ireland from Spain (assuming you're an adult EU citizen and your final destination is Republic of Ireland via a direct flight) is a current vaccination cert or evidence you've recovered from covid-19.

You'll need fill out a passenger locator form for each person travelling.

However May is a long way off and things might change in the meantime. You should check the Irish government website www.dfa.ie for up to date information.

You can also travel with a negative test. Not everyone in my party has vaccine cert hence my question where can we get a PCR test to return to Dublin Ireland.

Hi Skel

Sorry 'bout that. I didn't read your message properly. I'd assumed, wrongly, all your party were vaccinated.

I'm shuttling between Spain, Portugal, Germany, Poland and Ireland on business. I've had no problem whatever with the vaccine cert.

Regret I can't help you with locations where you might get a PCR test in RDM. I have seen other posts on this forum by people who got PCR tests in RDM but I've no idea if these places still provide the service.

Is it not correct that you do not need a PCR or Covid passport anymore when returning to Ireland from Spain?

Hi P

If you have an Irish passport, and are returning  from an EU country, you won't be routinely asked for a covid-19 cert or evidence of negative result.

However you are liable to a spot check.

Good luck

See gov.ie where it states from 6th March 2022 no tests required!
