Hi. We are holidaying in Roquetas de Mar in September. We have never visited this region/resort before and are keen to see as much as possible of the area in the 2 weeks we are there. We prefer to use local buses and wondered if anyone had any information as to how far we could travel on the buses to visit as many different towns/areas as possible. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

I don't know Roquetas although have driven past it on the A7, but in case it's of any help, have a look at http://siu.ctal.es/en/horarios_lineas_tabla.php?from=1&linea=21 which gives you the bus route from Roquetas into Almeria and from there you can change to buses to Mojacar and other towns and villages that side of the city.

Hi

If you can contact the Visitor Information.Centre aka Tourist Information Centre in Roquetas by e mail then they may be able.to assist. If you are staying in a Hotel then undoubtedly they would have such assistance for guests.

Best Wishes & enjoy your stay,

Hi, We have been living in Roquetas de mar for 14 years.  There is a bus every half hour that takes you to Almeria town.  Roquetas centre has a bus station where you can get buses to almost anywhere.

Hope this is useful to you.

Enjoy your stay.

Hi,

You can find a link to the local bus company here: http://roquetaslife.eu/bus.html

There is also a lot of other info about Roquetas on this site also. Check out the Sightseeing page.

Kind regards,

Brian.

Thanks for replying. We weren’t sure if we had chosen the right location but I think now that we have.

Hi - I am confused! I appreciate that there is a bus from Almeria Estacion Intermodal de Almeria to Roquetes de mar but cannot ascertain the bus number, the timing frequency, the cost and where it terminates? We are staying at Calle Joaquin Bloom in Roquetes de mar which I think is over the river on the left before the Port area?? Please can you help in simple terms please? Many thanks. Tiny.
