Dear friends,

Have a question in regards which airlines would accept pets on the cabin if I'm traveling from Dublin to Almeria? The only airlines I found was Iberia, but it is so confusing to understand all their policies, so I better ask if anyone has any experience like that?

Thank you

Probably best to e-mail them. I asked if it was possible from the UK and the answer was no. Maybe different from the republic.

I was trying to contact them in meridian ways, but no luck. The phone line is useless. Thinking about putting my dog in cargo 🙈

I would NEVER put mine in cargo, ever since watching a prog where they forgot to turn the heating on in the hold and a cargo of tropical fish Froze. but ,everyone makes their own choice.   I have to drive from Stirling in Scotland to Mojacar twice a year ( well ,that was the norm in the old days lol ).  However, we sailed from Newcastle to Ijmuiden , parked the car at the shuttle car park for Schiphol . Flew with our small dog in the cabin to Alicante.  So easy, check in simple and smooth.   No problem and much better than driving lol.  KLM .  of course Ireland is more difficult but I hope you figure out something.  good luck

Thank you for advice. Didn't know they can forget to turn heating on on cargo?😲I thought it should be a special place for animals with temperature and pressure control. Thanks again 👍

If they can fly with one airline what not all ?   You can come into U.K. on a ferry with a pet but not on a plane.  We know not all of their customers want to travel with pets on board but they are only allowed if they weigh 10 kilos or less including bag and are not allowed off the floor in front of your seat ,also only 4 or so per flight. Then again an airline who did an animal friendly service would be busy lol.

Hi mindaugas, a work colleague of mine flew from Dublin to Barcelona last week on Ryanair? He paid €50 for the dog to be taken in the cabin but it must be kept in a carrier or suitable bag. It must also be under 10 kg I think. And you will need a pet passport from your vet. Hope this helps. Steve
