We are hoping to travel over in Jan with our dog to Roquetas, can anyone give us an idea of the cost of getting a dog health cert. in Roquetas for traveling back to the UK about 5 weeks later.

You will need to get a health certificate, pets passport and chip, rabies jab etc in the UK before you travel. to Spain
When you return to the UK you need to take your dog to a local vet in Spain a few days before you travel where they will check the dog, the chip and do the worming procedure and sign the passport to say the dog is fit to travel, you then have 5 days to get to your point of departure i.e. Calais, or a port for the ferry. You do not need a health cert from Spain.

Re last post there is no uk pet passport requirement , worming in spain should be around 15 e. If you are staying a few weeks and can find a vet who will accept your friends address, you should get a spanish pet passport, which will cover you for future trips without AHC. You will still require worming treatment to be entered in new paaport and the vet will also administed rabies booster for document entry.

Sorry cant give you an accurate cost as I had 8 dogs to bring back. but the vet will charge a consultation fee approx 25e and then the worming on top.I think the worming tabs are around 10e each.

Brilliant, Thank you, give me a good idea, the uk side cost from my vet appears to be around £260 including the Rabies shot.
