Hi all, please can you tell me what is is like during the winer months? Also, could there be any problems for elderly folk? We are 56 at the mo but I am thinking ahead. Also, what is the crime rate like?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi

We first looked a Purchena as a place to live, in fact I fell in love with a property there, but did not proceed as my partner wanted to be closer to the coast. Purchena is quite high up altitude wise, therefore does get cold, and with snow; it also gets quite hot during the summer months too. I cannot comment on any crime there as I don’t know, but overall, I still think it’s a nice area.

My in laws are in their 70’s and have lived in Purchena for 14 years now. Winters are colder than by the coast but nothing compared to the uk winters. They’ve had snow twice since living there and it was only a dusting and gone by the next day.  They only have about 2 months of colder weather. Hope this helps.

Jeanne, Michelle,

Thank you for your help. We are going to view a property in May so we will see for ourselves. All seems great so far. Sandra and Neil

Thank you. Is it still a bit sunny every now and then or cold and bleak in the winter months?

thanks
