I need to purchase a washer - new quality for money. We leave on 30th Dec. We have a vehicle to get about in to look if it isn't close by.

I agree, the shop next to Iceland. They will deliver and install for €10 too. Very friendly and helpful
If you're looking for a decent selection of well known brands then try El Corte Ingles www.elcorteingles.es) it's the largest (I think) Spanish dept store. They have 400+ washing machines available, will deliver and install. They'll also take the old one away. If you can wait they'll probably have a sale after Kings' Day (6th Jan) usually VAT free equivalent to 21% discount.
Website is in Spanish but Google Translate will help, if you prefer to visit a store nearest is in Murcia just off the E15.
