Buying a used car in Costa de Almeria

First thing you’ll find is that second hand cars hold their price in Spain, and are much more expensive than in UK.  My advice is to buy from a reputable garage, and have them do change of ownership.  If it’s from a garage, there’s much less likelihood of ending up with a vehicle over which there is an embargo - i.e. unpaid fines (in Spain, if you buy a vehicle with unpaid fines or whatever, you become liable for them)

You will need a NIE to purchase the vehicle, and some garages will ask for a copy of Padrón as well (to enable change of ownership with Tráfico)
