Don't know about Palomares but if you have transport & can get into Mojacar then the Cepsa Service Station half way up the hill between Playa & Pueblo. It's at the roundabout.

Excellent little shop.

Not sure if the major supermarkets have started their Summer Sunday opening as yet.

There’s no shops open on sun , although I know supermarkets change opening times in summer I’ll check for you 

That's why the servos like the Cepsa and others. Are such a boon.

I’ve just checked it’s July n August they open sundays . 

There is small supermarket in palomares open until 2pm on sundays

Lidls are open until 10pm everyday including  Sundays. 

If you have transport you have no worries. Straight road from Palomares head through Vera up towards Mojacar located  at the top of the hill on the Garrucha turn off. Or google maps for directions. 😎

Two small supermarkets on Bougainvillea both open Sundays. Only a few minutes by car from Palomares.

There's a Mercadona a supermarket, 5 mins drive open on Sundays and a couple of small shops in the village,if you want, more shops mostly restaurant in Garrucha,or Vera,there's also a large Sunday market in villaricos,also a 5 mins drive.
