Hi there

Has anyone ever looked at Lucainena de las Torres as a place to buy a property?  Or could anyone with information let me know about the area  please.

Thanks

Beautiful area to visit.  Depends on what you are looking for and how close you want to be to amenities, the beach,  main roads, English speakers etc.  What are your requirements?

As previous reply depends , it's a beautiful village ,we have bought there , there are a few English ,Irish residents mostly Spanish , very quiet locals make you very welcome if you make the effort to speak some Spanish.

Thanks Maggie.

I read somewhere the winters are long and cold.  Is this true.  It seems so odd as it's not that far from other areas that report better weather.  I'm a bit confused.

Worst 2 months are Jan and Feb like most places cool mornings and evenings daytime can be warm around 20 degrees

Hi Rochelle

We bought an apartment in December last year and are gradually moving from Jaen. We absolutely love it.  It's peaceful, has beautiful walks, it's kept very clean and has friendly bars and restaurants.  I walk my dog on my own and feel very safe, the people I pass always greet me.  Lots of family entertainment, fiestas.  We bought here because the temperature is not as extreme as Jaen.  Very happy we chose Lucainena.

Thanks so much Elaine.  That's really great to know.  The house I was interested in has been sold.  Very poor service from the estate agent.  So I'm still looking.

Hi, we moved to Lucainena just over two years ago and we love living here. Its a quiet village and a bit remote but we have a village shop, a couple of good bars, a hotel and a beautiful municiplal pool in the summer with a bar serving tapas. We have the via verde for walking/cycling and plenty beautiful walks around the village and surrounding area. You are welcome to contsct me for sny further info or questions
