How hard is it to find work here .
Thinking of moving here but worried about the lack of employment for english.
Anyone know if jobs are quite available.

You can't work in Spain no more unless you have a EU passport then if you speak fluent spainish you may have a chance.hope this helps.

You have to have a skill that is on the Spanish 'wanted' list before you will get a visa to work. There are very few jobs here for the English. before you come I would suggest you become fluent in Spanish. But you will still need that ever elusive work Visa.

I can only echo what Darrin and Jenni have written. If you are on a UK passport, you now need to obtain a work visa before you can even think of working here. They are not easy to come by - not impossible, but certainly not easy.
Two ways of obtaining a work permit. The first is to have a skill which is on the Spanish skills shortage list. This link should provide most of the information required : https://sepe.es/HomeSepe/en/empresas/informacion-para-empresas/profesiones-de-dificil-cobertura/profesiones-mas-demandadas.html
If you have a skill or occupation on that list, the next hurdle is to find a Spanish employer who cannot find that skill anywhere else in Europe and is prepared to sponsor / apply for your Work Permit. Don't hold your breath.
Second method is go self-employed (Autónomo), however, to get a self employed work permit, you will have to demonstrate a business plan for a viable business in Spain, and may also have to provide letters of intent from potential customers here.
I believe you CAN come over on an NLV, then after a year, apply to convert it to a Work Permit, but to do that you'll still have to cross the hurdles of either having a contract if you are seeking employment, or a viable business plan and customers if you want to be Autónomo.
Without at the very least a decent grasp of Spanish, you are on a non-starter. Whilst English may be spoken in some areas, it is not widely spoken, and here in the South outside of the cities, the language is most definitely Spanish.
Places like Malaga, Benidorm, Madrid, Barcelona etc may offer more English speaking jobs, but a grasp of Spanish will still most definitely be a requirement, not to mention you'll still need that elusive Work Permit
