Hi, we recently moved to Los Gallardos and it seems the postal service don't deliver to my home, I have to get a mailbox.

Which is the best way to get this? Is it the Town Hall or the post office?

Many thanks,

Roberto

In Huercal-Overa the mailbox service is offered by the oficina de correos (post office),  but some estate agents such as Spanish Property Choice in Mojácar offer this service too.  Not sure about the cost though.

I realise that this is a very old thread and you've probably got it sorted by now. But in case it's useful you can hire mailboxes from Forget-Me-Not at the Las Buganvillas roundabout between Garrucha and Vera.

Spanish Property Choice used to be 50-60€ pa. Lot less complicated than PO/ Correos in Mojacar. For that you will need your Padron from the Town Hall plus NIE plus Passport plus interpreter plus a lot of patience. Think that Total Entertainment at other end of town also do PO boxes. Another suggestion would.be to share PO Box or address with a friend.

Best of luck,

Bob and Sandra

It will depend on where exactly you live in Los Gallardos. If you live in an idividual house in a street in the town the you may just need a postbox fitted to your outside wall. However if your on a Urbanisation or Comunidad it is likely that Post Boxes (Buzons) are already available. If you have purchased a property the seller should have provided you with the location of the box and a key - if you are renting a property then your landlord would also give you this info. P.M me if you need more help.
