Hello all of you -- I wonder if the bad water in Los Gallardos/Huerta Nueva gets drinkable if you cook it? I´m so tired of dragging home big water bottles -- grateful for any reply or suggestion! -- Britt

Have you tried installing a water filter, ours here in Mojacar was drinkable but horrible taste. The water filter makes a huge difference....

Sorry also meant to say you need only the wine bottle size that fits under your kitchen sink with filters requiring renewal about once every four or five months....not one of the huge things that require loads of space and additives.....

I'd second Peterlee4. We had ours installed by a fellow who now comes every 6 months to change the filters. Long gone are the days of pulling shoulder muscles! Do it now. 🙂

Thanks for your reply -- but as I´m renting my flat I don´t want to install anything expensive -- could you tell me how much it would cost? Gratefull for info, Britt

If I recall correctly I paid about €100 to have the filter fitted and the replacement cartridges are about €30 every six months....

Hi. I'm Ian in Turre. Your water problems are solved. 60 litres a month delivered to your house once a month. You get a machine like you get at work that can chill the water to the temperature you prefer. It's 30 euros a month and that includes the water, the dispenser and the delivery. It comes from Sierra Nevada.  And best of all it's portable so when you move house you take it with you. I wouldn't bother with filters as a lot of the water comes from the desalination plant and is devoid of minerals. Would you like me to recommend you to the company I use. They're really good and for 30 a month you'll never have to lug water around again.

Hi, would you remember where you got yours from? I am literally at the moment suffering from pouring from a 8 litre container and we would like one fitted, thanks
