We feel unsafe now shopping in Garrucha Mercadona since there are many tourists who are refusing to comply with the staff's requests to wear masks and gloves. They need security officers to strictly enforce the rules. Is there any way this message can get to the senior management before the number of viral infections rocket?

The message needs to get to senior management. The local manager is without doubt aware of the situation but may consider security officers outside his budget. He needs to be told to beef up his security, and quickly. Hence my post.

tourist actions all over are it's ok to just wander about with no consideration to social distancing or mask wearing not just in Mercadona.  still got the rule in Lidl enforced by one young lady at the door issuing gloves and making sure masks are on so try shopping there and give mercadona a swerve for now.

You're right, of course, but it's easier to avoid the irresponsible morons out in the open than inside a store. I have sent a message to what I think is Mercadona head office and just hope it bears fruit.

. . . . and will the complaints be listened to?

. . . . not unless you vote with your feet, toddle over to Lidl. That's the only way you'll get your message heard. It works everytime. (And you don't feel any pressure from complaining).

I've only been to the Garrucha branch once because of all the work going on outside.  I automatically wear a mask and was pointed to the sanitser and gloves.  However try the mercadona in Al Andalus on the way to Vera, they have a security chap on duty, and Gloves and sanitiser  outside and inside the foyer, they won't let you go in without being suitably safe.  Have used them most of the time and always felt safe.  Also better parking.
