Yes,Cuevas covers Palomares y Villaricos also. Both are on the coast. But lack the facilities of Cuevas.Cuevas has a twice weekly market, 5 banks, and a large health centre. It is a fully functioning town all year round, whereas the others are like ghost towns in the winter. What type of property are you looking to buy/rent.?Let me know if I can be of any help.

Hello Kerry. The town of Cuevas del Almanzora is a traditional Spanish town where few shop owners speak any English, but we have everything we need, including a large Mercadona supermarket. However, I wouldn't say that it's a town where the English meet in large groups to enjoy a coffee.
In the municipality of Cuevas you will find the more English populated areas of Palomares and Villaricos, the coastal towns, where in normal times you will see many ex-pats at the cafes, bars and chiringuito. You'd be far more likely to strike up friendships in those areas.
Let me know if I can go you further. Marion.

Exactly what you said!
We moved here last June. I must admit, I wasn't sure at first but have grown to love it 🙂
