Hi, my husband and myself are looking into buying a new build villa in Arboleas but we are a bit concerned about the property being legal has anybody had any experience on this and also we have heard there are a lot of flies in the summer if there are do you have to sit within a screened area to be able to eat outside or is it not to bad.

what do you mean by a new build? is it already built in which case make sure it is fully legal before you buy it. check at the townhall check on the land register, do not trust the builder or the estate agent if they say don't worry. Get a good lawyer and ask lots of questions if you can of the people who already live in the area you are looking at. There are some really good properties in Arboleas but you need to be careful as not all are what they seem.
Flies are always an issue in the summer and if you want to eat outside you either put up with them or have fly screens around your outside area.
