Hi Barbara, First step is location, where do you want to live, on the coast or in land. Coastal properties are more expensive than in land. Second, find yourself a solicitor OUTSIDE of the area you want to live, then a good estate agent. They both will guide you through the prosess. My home is at this moment on the market with Almeria Casas, we found them extreamly helpful.  Good luck.

My personal opinion? Rent before you buy. If you don’t like where you buy you may be stuck with a house in an uncertain market with lots of capital tied up.

Very good advice Doris meant to add that but was distracted by my neighbour popping around.

I would recommend viewing properties with more than one estate agent ..do massive research first as some agents have properties exclusive to them...think about all the things you want and research the different areas... it's never to late to design the life you want..
