Help and advice need. We are planning to move to the Arboleas area in Aug/Sep, our first choice of property has fallen through, However, I am having a nightmare trying to get private health cover for the first year in order to apply for residency and then apply for the  convenio especial

scheme.  I cannot get insurance as non of the providers will cover me because of pre existing conditions ir high blood pressure and I have a stent fitted. I know these will not be covered I just cant understand why I still cannot get cover. Has anyone come across this problem. We are retiring early 60, cannot get the S1 as previously mentioned. Does anyone know a provider who will insure me with these existing condition or is there another way to apply for the convenio especial without health insurance.

I've just got private health with ASSSA through a broker. I have pre existing conditions they won't treat but anything other than that is covered.

Hi, just wondered if you managed to get your private health insurance sorted? My husband and myself have the same problem. I have tried several companies who either won't cover us at all or are very expensive. Any useful information would be great.

Wishing everyone a happy new year.

Anne
