Was reading an earlier thread about cost of moving to Spain. Someone mentioned health insurance would be about 2000 annually. Is this an estimate per couple or individual? This is something my husband and I are trying to get a handle on, when we are working out our other costs. We will be retiring early and don't intend to work in Spain 🇪🇸.

I think the quote was per couple as we had a quote a couple of months ago and that was 1700 euros with Asssa but basic cover.

We are an early retired couple and are with DKV, we have the Elite policy and pay just over 200 euros a month for us both, this enabled us to get our Residencia.
Without going into too much detail, my wife has a pre-existing condition and some companies wouldn't insure her at all.

we are like you early retirees and we paid 1500 euros for full cover that covers us both and was acceptable for our residencia
