Has IKEA in Almeria opened? If not, does anyone know when it will open?

The proposed new IKEA store in Almeria was put on hold last year along with 7 or 8 other new stores across Spain. Given the current situation and impending recession this will not likely now happen at all.

IKEA have opened a small design studio in the Torrecadenas shopping centre that is more for kitchen and bedroom design. The nearest store is still Murcia.

That is correct. IKEA are not opening in Almería, there is only going to be the Click ‘n Collect outlet there

Thank you very much for answering my query. It's disappointing but very understandable. Nothing wrong with a day trip to Murcia and a stop off at IKEA.
