Hi All,

My dish seems to be out of line with the satellite. Any recommendations on who I could use to move it?

Just outside of Albox towards the Saliente.

Thanks

J

Hi, depends where your dish was pointing.

If it was pointing to uk Astra the dish may have swivelled slightly on the pole, usual with high winds. Vertical angle is more secure and rarely requires adjustment.

If you loosen the bolts to move the dish slightly sideways,  and literally slightly,  a few mm either way your picture should return.

Bear in mind it is very critcal. Even when installing a dish even the last tightening of bolts can cause picture loss.

Mark a vertical line on the pole and mount with a felt tip pen so you do not lose position.

If all else fails you will need realignment by a sat guy.

Recently uk tv has been lost on some sat dishes that were mounted a few years ago, shown as appx 45° angle. It appears for this type of dish there is no hope other than a new Astra type dish. These dishes were installed for continental broadcasts- the tell tale was you also picked up German or African channels.

We have two residents with these continental dishes and they lost uk tv about a month ago.

Hope this helps regards Al
