Hello, new member here. My wife and I have been holidaying in Vera Playa for years and we love it there. I would like some advice about moving to the area most probably in 2 years time. We are both retired (aged 66 & 62). We bought an apartment 2 years ago so have NIE numbers and a Spanish bank account. We would be selling our property in England. Is there anything we need to do at this stage or do we wait until much nearer the time? What sort of problems, paperwork etc. would we come up against? I appreciate that rules/requirements could change, however, if things are in our favour we may move sooner.

Thanks in advance.

There’s nothing really you can do now.  As it stands, when you apply for a visa, once granted, you have 90 days in which to take it up i.e. move to Spain, so you need to be ready to move when you apply for the visa - not everything sold / packed ready - but in the mindset that when visa is granted, you are ready to go
