Hi,

new member to the forum here. My wife & I purchased a property in Vera Playa in April this year and we have enjoyed a few visits up to now — but very much still getting to know the place.

We are travelling to Spain tomorrow to spend the new year break there and was wondering if there are any outdoor events in Vera, Vera Playa or Mojacar on NYE. Have had a look online but haven’t seen anything.

Thanks,

Malc

people usually gather in the Squares at midnight to see in the New Year with the 12 grapes swallowed whole on each stroke of the bells.  Mojacar town hall have given out grapes in previous years not sure this year and the lights are on for the Ferra Roche chocolates celebration.  And they may have fireworks.  Hard to get there though by car and buses busy.

Wouldn't recommend swallowing whole due to risk of choking.  Buy small ones and chew first.

Garrucha town hall square usually do the gathering and i would expect Vera town also.  We used to partake in Garrucha, having a meal first, but a bit old now so stay home and may have a meal New year's day, locally.
