Could anyone help please? On Av De Andalucia there is an ‘abandoned’ plot of land with about twenty structural pillars on it as if it was going to be a big building. Does anyone know what it was going to be, why it wasn’t built, who owns the land and are there any plans for it in the future? I want to buy near there and don’t like seeing it as it is. Thank you.

The best way of finding out is to take a photo and then ask at the town hall.  However, from what you describe it  might be that a bridge is going to be built there for the planned Corredor Mediterraneo train, so do try to.find out. 🤔

Does anybody have more details of the ‘planned train line through Vélez Rubio please? Time line? Route? Anything?

If what you have seen is very close to the town of Velez Rubio, it is unlikely that these columns will have anything to do with the rail project.

Not sure if this will help, but here’s a map of the train line being built from Almeria to Murcia

There was an artists impression poster there a few years ago showing a row of shops and associated landscaping. Not sure why it hasn't been done yet.

Nothing to do with railway ,that's miles away.

So why does it not show the station in Vera as a black dot? Or is this before they decided who was getting it maybe!

It’s as of February 2023, so I’m guessing the black dots just show where other rail networks join

No Huercal-Overa lost out long before that.  Jan / Feb last year one of our clients who is an engineer on the project was already talking about the station at Vera
