Finding the house rather cold. Chucked down some rugs on tiles and bought a gas heater which is pretty effective but would like a bit of background heat in bedrooms. Every one says electric is expensive but can anyone recommend an electric radiator type of heater that won’t break the bank.

Being cold creates more unhappiness than a reduced bank balance.  Buy a second hand oil filled convector radiator with timer.  I’ve just done so for 49 euros.  Works a dream.

I did just that..... for 45euros. Also found that by putting the ceiling fans on low moves the warm air so even the corners of the room are warm
