Just one thing I cannot understand. If you are eligible for an Irish passport and therefore stay a member European Union how can you get a S1 form from UK to cover your health care?  Perhaps I'm the one doddery?  Good luck anyway whatever you choose.

You did not say whether your partner had a Irish passport or not, a friend of mine has an Irish passport but as lived in the uk for many years and claims state pension from the uk I know you said you had an Irish passport but you did not say wether you lived in the uk or not

If you can get an Irish passport, then I’d say certainly do so - it will make achieving your dream that much easier!

There are plenty of properties around that I’m sure would suit your tastes - and I can see no reason at all why you should not achieve your dream.

With property purchase and subsequent renting out, there are of course some bureaucratic hurdles to clear, but clear them you can - and shall!!

Wishing you the very best, may your dream come to fruition

Take it from an old soap and dont listen to gossip my wife and I have been around Spain for a long time now just abide by there rules and you wont go wrong good luck.

Hi Jane

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

I think our plans will be ‘on hold’ for a while now!

Hopefully speak again soon.
