We arrive by ferry on 9th October. We are bringing with us household items for the house we are renovating. Some new, bought specifically for the house which I believe I will have to pay import duty on, even though they are for my own use and most I have owned for a long time and just moving around. Would appreciate some help with the rules & procedures for this, or a link to English version of the Spanish customs site

Many thanks

anything that you have owned for 6 months or more can be brought in duty free.  new stuff with receipt declared will have a duty to pay which they will calculate and charge you for at point of entry.  of course you may have to prove the ownership with receipts.
