Hola, my husband and I will be in Almeria (on holiday from Scotland), from 21st Dec to 27th, does anyone know of any live flamenco gigs around this time? We are flexible on location as not booked accomodation yet.

Thank you for your help

Hi Lori and Andy,

We moved from Scotland to Almeria last December. My wife is an ex Russian ballet dancer who for some wearied reason has taken up flamenco dancing. There is a performance of local professional Almeria dancers on the 22nd of December at Teatro Apolo, the name of the show is Milonga (fusion of flamenco and tango) This is the Google link to the theatre:  https://www.google.com/maps/place/Teatro+Apolo/@36.8405908,-2.4706357,15z/data=!3m1!5s0xd707600487c4be1:0xcc40fb06812e2808!4m5!3m4!1s0xd70760049cc097f:0xdca83e2d6525920b!8m2!3d36.8405908!4d-2.461881

Hope that you enjoy the evening.

Hi Jasnat 247,

Thank you for the info on the Flamenco/tango gig, it sounds really fabulous, right up our street!

Unfortunately I couldn't find a calendar of events on the link you sent.

I tried a few times, different searches but to no avail . . . then asked an 'internet savvy' friend to have a go . . Alas still no success finding the event or a way to get tickets.

Any hints would be most welcome?

Are you going to see the show?

Hi, The link that I sent you was a Google map link to show you where the theatre is. I will try to get more details regarding the performance and pass it on.

Regards to you both.

Hi Lori,

I eventually found out that the performance is by invitation only. I am sending you a few websites that you can look at and see which you think you might like.

This is also the telephone number of a taxi driver that we got to know when we first came to Almeria. He speaks a little English and he will not rip you off. His name is Ruben and it's best if you are going to contact him to text him. 0034641868561

Hope you enjoy your visit.

Regards.

Hi again jasnat 247,

Thank you so much for going to the trouble of finding and sending all that info on flamenco in Almeria to us.

We're more hopeful now that we'll catch a show/performance, and thank you also for the taxi details.

Your kindness is very much appreciated.

kind regards

Lori and Andy
