Wish I could, they all seem to be expensive.

Further up the coast a little, in a place called Pozo del Esparto, is a restaurant right by the sea, called La Frontera (659 93 68 81).  Whilst it's not exactly posh "fine dining", It is very reasonable and makes for a nice lunchtime outing (not sure if it's open in the evenings).  You can take a stroll along the seaside promenade just by the restaurant.   They do not take reservations - you just have to turn up and, if necessary, wait for a table.   Lots of fish.  Menu del dia (around 10€) and a la carte.  Best to phone beforehand to make sure they are open.

Try Twister in Mojacar, lovely fish n chips with the lightest crispiest batter you'll ever come across.

Yes it’s probably better to buy the fish in Mercadona and cook it yourself!

The very best fish and chips is to be had at Kuki's towards the bottom of Mojacar; just €7.50 for a huge piece of cod, chips, mushy or garden peas. We've tried them all, including Twisters, and always come back to Kuku's. Give them a try. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

We've used La Pinta for their grill. Either the fish or seafood grill is €36 with some veg and a bottle of wine.  Very nice and a decent sized portion.

Martin.
