Can anyone recommend a car rental company in Garrucha or close by. Many thanks.

I defiitely recommend David Baxter at Al Andaluce Car HIre who cover the airports as well as local rentals in Garrucha, Mojacar and the surrounding area. http://www.alandaluscarhire.com/. Prices are good (they only accept cash) and the cars are fine if not always as new as you might get at Avis or the other majors. We used them a few weeks ago from Almeria Airport returning to Murcia and were very satisfied.
Another local one that regularly gets good reviews is Costa Coches although I haven't used them - http://www.costacochesrentacar.biz/index.html

We would recommend Costa Coches too, for price, reliability, trustworthiness and decent cars.
