This will have been done by your lawyer as part of the purchase process and in due course you will get a copy of the deeds.

Presume that as your property is registered, you attend IBI office with identification, collect IBI bill and pay at bank.

IBI may have been paid for year commencing July by previous owner, again your legal team should advise.

Thank you. It had been paid by previous owner. Just thinking ahead to 2019 bill
Hi,
Please do not assume that you have been registered for IBI by your Solicitor. On our 2 purchases the Solicitor left it for us to do. We ended up being embargoed & monies removed from Bank account. Also fined. One reason we now bank offshore.
Your IBI number is on your deeds so take to Town Hall and check. Also that the property HAS been re-registered on your name.
We pay our IBI by DD as we travel extensively.
Best Wishes,
