Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any advise on the following... I am currently in Benissa (was working here) but now I need to travel 2.5 hrs on the AP7/E15/A7 to get home to Arboleas tonight or tomorrow. I have my own car, I am not ill & I will be travelling alone. Are the roads open do you know & do you think I will be allowed to make my way home when I do not have to come into contact with anyone at all as I even have a full tank of petrol. Here in Benissa people are allowed to drive around the towns alone in their car to get essentials & the shops are actually still well stocked albeit, one in one out at a time of course, but I need to come back. Any advise or new updates on protocol of the police reactions to solo drivers on the AP7 Alicante - Murcia - Almeria regions & then closer & around Arboleas would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance Tracey

I’m getting updates direct from U.K. govt.  this morning it was updated.  It tells all the conditions for the whole of Spain. And.   You are allowed to get home to your main residence.    So don’t worry at all .   We are near Mojacar.

Here is the U.K. GOVT UPDATE ........From Tuesday 17 March until the end of the State of Emergency, these measures now include the closure of land borders for those entering Spain, with the following exceptions: Spanish nationals, Spain residents, frontier workers and those able to prove that they need to enter for essential reasons. The land borders remain open for those leaving Spain. At present, air and maritime borders remain open.

Transport services will be operating at reduced levels. Public gatherings are banned, most shops other than those selling food or other essential items such as pharmacies will be closed, many businesses and all schools and universities are closed, and all citizens have been instructed to remain at home except when going about a limited set of activities in particular to buy food or other essential items, to return home to their primary residence, to go to hospital or other health centres, to go to work (if unable to work from home), to carry out caring or similar duties or in case of real need.
