Hi there,

We saw a tractor outside our place last night with a large container on the back spraying the roads around our villa with something that smells like bleach?

Has anyone else experienced this we live close to El Chopo.

Has anyone been able to find out what type of disinfectant they are using? When I ask they just shrug and say "disinfectant". I am a little alarmed that we are just getting sprayed with chemicals with no information. Some chemicals can be just as harmful as covid, especially to epileptics. Any information is welcome in English or Spanish.

I assume it is the same disinfectant they have been using around Malaga where a prior warning was given to keep all pets indoors for 24 hours. I suspect it is neat bleach

It is certainly bleach but not neat bleach.  Apparently viruses can be controlled with a bleach and water mixture.  It may be 1 measure of strong bleach to 3 of water.

Apparently to  wash fruit and veg you can use one measure of agua oxigenada from the medicine chest ( which Is weak bleach ) to 3 of water or alimentary bleach (if you can find it) mixed with water following the instructions on the container.   There are other methods using vinegar and bicarb and iodine also, all mixed with water of course and left for different lengths of time. Look up instructions in the web.
