Due to a flight change by the wonderful Ryanair my flight into Algeria now lands late on Thursday so I was wondering what if any shops might be open on good Friday and will there be a market at villaricos on Sunday?

Hi, sorry to hear your flight has been mucked about. The major supermarkets will be shut Friday but open Saturday.
I suspect you'll have to fall back on the shops at the petrol stations, many of which are open 365 days a year.
The Cepsa station near us in Huercal-Overa is open until 11, they wouldn't have fresh vegetables but you could get basic groceries and they bake bread fresh throughout the day every day.
I'm sure you could find something similar near you. As you head north from Almeria airport you pass a number of places, including Repsol and Shell. There's a new petrol station opened on the road between Antas and Vera recently, I haven't clocked what the shop is like in there...
Update...Lidl in Garrucha is open Friday...
