Hi, I'm moving to roquetas de mar in may, want to know if there's any good gyms with weights I can join? Not sorted accommodation out yet either but I'm told this easy.

There's a large fitness centre in the Urbanisation next to the Tourist Information centre and across the road from Mercadona.

Thanks, that's good to know. Have you any idea on the facilities? Has anyone's ever been to it? Just need to sort out a 2/3 bedroom apartment now in Salinas / Marina area and I'll have my job list ticked off

If you google Centro deportivo 360 Roquetas you can see the website. It's in spanish but you can easily translate it using google translate.

Plenty apartments around the area so shouldn't be a problem.

There are also a few miles of bicycle tracks around the area, so if you are interested it's well worth getting a bike. Plenty of places to get them here - anything from a sit up and beg shopper to a £1,000 racing bike.

Yeah I see there's plenty but some have said they're holiday rentals and most I email and the estate agents tells me the message has been passed on to owners and then I never hear anything. Anyone else had this problem?

I think most of the brit owned apartments are only for holiday rentals as the owners tend to come themselves part of the year. You may be better taking a holiday rental for a month - it will give you a chance to look around and find a long term rental.
