Hi,

I am thinking of getting a portable calor gas heater. I'd rather this than face a hefty electricity bill and I can also keep tabs on my usage.

Where and how do I purchase gas bottles and how much do they cost?

Thanks

:)

Here in Aguilas we initially ordered them from Repsol office but some local shops stock them. I think you have to  get them from the company initially because they come and check the connections once every 3/4 years. In spite of this one leaked and one night the kitchen was full of gas! You have to leave a window open for a heater which seems to  defeat the object. We use a  electric  convector which isn't too  expensive and much safer. Hope this is  helpful.

Hi, would an oil filled radiator be cheaper to run for you. I’ve used one in past in the uk in a loft room and it heated the room great and was economical.

Thanks, we've decided to go with an oil filled radiator. We'll be as frugal as possible as I am aware electricity is very expensive in Spain.
