We have a britbox for our tv in Valencia but I cannot find anyone supplying them now and we would like a similar system for our property in Roquetas de Mar. Any suggestions will be fully appreciated

I bought an Android X96 with Kodi preinstalled off eBay for £26,00.

I don’t subscribe to UK TV services so have no streams to add to the Kodi interface (I just use it for Netflix, YouTube and my own movies) but I believe if you have a subscription, you could certainly just add it in and carry on

Thanks for the info.

My download speed in Roquetas is about 350-450kb/s which is usually just enough for my Britbox to run okay. I have tried to find out how much the type of android box matters to watch tv smoothly but haven't found a clear answer.

350 Kilo bits per second? Yow!! Could I be so bold as to perhaps suggest a different provider? I have a 4G system at Valle del Este and get 20 MEGA bits per second down .... easily enough to stream Netflix.

You haven’t asked about internet providers, so I won’t push that unless you want to know more, but as others have stated on other threads, you’ll need around 4 Mbps to get a reliable, buffer-free stream.

Again, if you’re interested, let me know, I’ll send a link to the X96 Android box I purchased via eBay

Thanks Dario.

We have now researched online and ordered an Android box which looks like being ideal.

Kind Regards

Kathleen

Hi Dario i just saw your post. We have just taken a long term rental at valle de este resort. We would appreciate information regarding internet provider Tv and mobile. We have just arrived, and still need to maintain contact with family in northern ireland. Thanks in advance.

Hi there - ok, old post that one and since then I’ve swapped twice - my recommendation though is DigiMobil Fibre.  30€ per month for 1GB/s - it’s absolutely awesome!!

If Digi can’t service you, then HolaFibra will certainly service you; similar price but for only 300 MB/s.  Go to the DigiMobil website though a d you can check coverage online (just click to take the product - you won’t enter into a contract until you have gone through many steps and the first step is to check coverage)
