Dog Boarder in Roquetas or Aguadulce area
Super helpful member
We live in the Roquetas area and have an ex-guide dog, 4 years old, who was withdrawn from training due to a genetic eye condition. Quest can see perfectly well at present. He is a Golden Retriever and does not bark or growl, he's fine with other dogs unless they snarl or bark at him which scares him. He's not at all bothered by thunder, lightning or fireworks but he's like Scooby Doo if there's a strong wind or rustling paper! He's a gentle quiet soul.
We have no problem walking him but we are concerned that if/when we need to fly to the UK for an occasional urgent family issue, we have no short-term care arrangement for him. We do not want to use kennels and in the past in England Quest has boarded for a few nights with a dog carer in their own home, without any issues.
So if you - or if you know of anyone doing this - would be able to board him, please reply here or privately with your email address so we can liaise about fees, an introduction, etc. It will be such a weight off our minds!
