New building next to Lidl

I believe it is the Mercadona as the shape and layout appears identical to the new Vera and Garrucha Mercadonas.

Sadly, it does appear as if Burger King will be infesting the structure as well, as I saw them advertising for staff to work in a new outlet in H-O

What’s up with a burger king

Hope you are right DARIO. This area needs a Burger King or Macdonalds. I’m craving for one or the other.  Those that don’t want it, don’t use it. As another poster asked. What’s wrong with Burger King?

Not a fan of either Burger King or McDonalds; their employment practices aside, the “food” you get there is carefully calculated by use of focus groups to get the salt-sugar-fat content to what is termed the “Bliss Point”

This is the point where the combination is so delicious as to become almost addictive - it keeps you coming back for more and more.  Your taste buds LOVE you … your cardiovascular and endocrine system? Not so much.

Like with anything, moderation is fine - but the foods are specifically designed, developed even, to circumvent the ability to moderate.  They are designed to induce craving and take you back for yet more.  These “foods” contribute greatly to problems with obesity, and childhood obesity in particular which is a growing problem (unintended pun)

Really, a “food” should not be so heavily laced with preservatives that after a year left out, it looks almost the same as the day it was served ….

from what I`ve seen/read, BK have acquired the plot and will start building soon.

BK will make a nice change from pizzas and kebabs lol

I don't find BK or McDonald's particularly delicious!  It's that soggy bread and lettuce and the synthetic cheese, plus the burgers are thin and nothing like the photos of their menus.  The salads are a rip-off too for those of us who don't eat chips.  However, we do sometimes have to opt for BK when the 'paper chasing" or shopping in Almeria takes up more time than calculated since my husband can't skip lunch incase of a sugar low.

I prefer a cheap Menu del Dia with a plate of Spanish cocido or lentejas and a proper salad if I can have the choice - but we do both like McDonald's and BK's ice cream!😋

It  will be a Mercadona!
