Has anybody managed to make an appointment with the Social Security Office at Huercal-Overa via the automated telephone number recently?

My mum finally sorted her residency but now needs her health card (she has her S1). She went to the INSS at Huercal-Overa to try to make an appointment but was told she would have to 'phone for one.  She couldn't understand the options on the automated service (too fast) so enlisted the help of a kind Spanish teacher. However, despite many attempts even she has not been able to get through to make an appointment (busy, not available, ring back etc etc).

Any advice please??

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I was in the same situation with the S1 and residency.  After months of trying to get through to Huercol  Overa I was finally informed to just go to the local medical centre and get a form which registers you there and the card will be sent to you. As long as you have your resident card etc.

Hi Leon. Thanks for your reply. Funnily enough that's exactly what I suggested she should do! So she went to the Arboleas health centre but he suggested that she go to the one in Albox. So I suppose she will try that next.

Thanks again!
