And just so you know it is only one piece of paper, nothing extraordinary. but you will have to return in 24 hours for it, and sometimes they can't print it in 24 hours so you may have to go back the next day :(  and dont forget you have to pay for it too €2.50 ish........

regards

Hi, take originals with you as they usually photocopy them there, we find best time to go is about 1300, they close at 1400. If you go early/mid morning there are usually quite a few people in and they don't rush.  As you go into town hall there is a door immediately in front of you which goes into a courtyard. As you turn  in there is a desk immediately in front of you, give your documents in there and then you pay at the window on your left. If you want extra copies they are 1 euro each but only last for 3 months so don't get too many and they usually tell you to pick them up next day.

Hope this helps,

Best wishes,

Paul.

I’m pleased to say with all the documents in hand ( The only originals were Passports) we went to Huércal-Overa town hall this morning and completed the Padron process in 20 minuets

Going back on Friday to collect certificates, thanks to everybody who offered advice

Next task Residencia !!!!!!!

Regards

Residencia is a bit more involved. I went to CATs in Alfoquia. They make sure all the paperwork is in order before you go, they take you in one of their cars and everything was straightforward for me. Seem to remember it cost about 125 euros but well worth it, we went down about 0745, one of the first in, all sorted by 1100, excellent service.

Good luck,

Paul.

Hi all, thanks for letting me join your group forum.

We’re hopefully moving to Huércal-Overa next year. Upon arrival where do go for a TIE appointment?

Just bear in mind you should not be on the pardon unless you are a resident, because when you are on the pardon you are telling the Spanish tax people you are a resident, and will be liable to pay tax,
