As an autónomo myself, I can advise you that the official line is .... “tough”.  This sounds harsh I know, but there is no relief for autónomos earning under a minimum - or even a liveable - wage.  You will be obliged to pay your autónomo each month and that goes up to around 320,00€ per month.

You will benefit once you have a years worth of payments made, as you MIGHT be eligible to claim unemployment if you find yourself completely out of work.

There have been other compensations that both I and my wife (also Autónomo) have benefitted from during the Coronavirus lockdown, but that’s not really relevant to your immediate situation.

It’s a catch 22 - you don’t earn enough to pay Autónomo, but if you get caught working without paying autónomo, the fines are quite large.  As an entertainer, you’d find it difficult I imagine to keep a low profile and pretend you’re not “working” ...

There has been discussion of Autónomo being means-tested, but at the moment, that’s all it is.

Thanks for your info. Much appreciated. I guess the one good thing is the reduced rates for new autonomo  status. As far

as I'm aware , it's 60 euros a month for the first year...please correct me if wrong as here in the the UK getting exact information is not as easy as you'd think. Once again, thanks

Close - in Andalucia - and ONLY Andalucia, they peg the starting Autónomo at 60€ for the first 24 months; everywhere else in Spain it’s 12 months.  That figure though is a base figure and is dependent on your age.  The older you are, the higher the figure.

For example, I’m 56 and as I’m over age 50, my Autónomo is 91,75€ Per month for the first 24 months.
