One thing you may not have to do and its the first (and most expensive thing) is headlamps, if theyve never been changed from USA spec ie lhd then that item wont cost you.
The vehicle must be more or less as it came out the Ford plant, tyres have to be the same spec, have to be the same on each axle, ie you can have two dunloos on the front and two conti's on the back but they must be the same rating as in the cars handbook.
How much else might depend on the ITV testing station, we like others left partners car in the very capable hands of the garage near albox who checked and serviced partners hybrid honda, did some work on the brakes we knew about, took it to Lorca and we then got it taxed and put new number plates on it.
What rules and regs apply other than for any other vehicle I cant say.
