car hire at Almeria airport

There are 2 that we use and 3 that regularly get good recommendations:

1) David Baxter at Al Andalus - contact@alandaluscarhire.com or http://alandaluscarhire.com/

They are very reasonable, will meet you by the parking payment booth over the road opposite the arrivals. Very reasonably priced. They don't block anything off your card but don't actually take cards so you need to have the cash with you to pay them when you collect the car. We had a Dacia Sandero last time and it was fine for a few days.

2) Avis - one of the majors of course so more likely to have something available. We normally look on Avis first. They are not on the airport but just off it. You either need to walk over to it or go to their van which is parked in the car park up the pedestrian ramp opposite the door to departures. There is then either someone in the an or a number in the window to call and they'll pick you up in 5 minutes. We find they don't block anything off the card ar hassle for the extra insurance, but that might be because I have Avis Preferred Plus membership, I'm not too sure.

3) Costa Coches - http://www.costacochesrentacar.biz/ or reservations@costacochesrentacar.biz

They get good reviews but I've never used them. The one time I tried they had nothing available.

You see plenty of Goldcar rental cars around so a lot of people obviously use them but I've heard mixed reviews, same with Europcar.

How do you get in touch with them and are they at almeria airport 

I gave the website addresses for David Baxter/Al Andalus and Cost Coches in my previous post. Yes you can pick up at Almeria Airport for both.

Avis is online at https://www.avis.co.uk/ and is 5 minutes from the airport.
