Debits not coming out of bank account.

The same thing has recently happened to friends who live in the UK. She found out from Next communications that one of her payments had been returned unpaid. On checking her bank account all of December's direct debits had also been returned unpaid although there was sufficient funds. It transpired she should have signed some forms for the tax office which the bank had not sent her, and then found out that these forms need to be signed every two years. This was Bankia. I think you will need to speak to your bank as it could be a similar problem.
