Hi all. I’m a newbie to this forum and to forums in general. I’m interested in buying a property bin Almeria city. My difficulty is that many advertisements are for properties offered for sale by owner or by an estate agent who does not speak English or French ( my Spanish is rudimentary but I’m learning ( slowly!). Does anyone have details of English speaking estate agents that are based or operate in Almería city? Is there anybody offering a service such as contacting private individuals as a go between to help in viewing and potentially negotiating a sale?

Try Emma Randle. She is based in ALmeria City and sorted out my property there. Check out her facebook page Spanish Residency and Legal Advice . She is excellent and fluent in Spanish.

If you search on www.kyero.com there are various properties for sale in Almeria.  Almost all properties on there are offered by agents rather than the vendor directly, and the agents will undoubtedly be geared up to deal with English speaking buyers.

There's a lot involved in buying a property. But provided you can drop on a good estate agent they gradually sort everything out for you.

Try using google translate to write to them at first. Most should be able to find an English speaker. But I understand how off putting it is when you cant get yourself understood.

I recommend viewing a property first in person. Then you'll meet the estate agent.

I'm afraid I cant offer direct relevant advice since I don't know the area myself.

Hi, I bought a place in the Almeria area over 5yrs ago, also owned a place in the mid 80's, so if i can help, get back to me.

One bit of sound advice, Buyer beware the stealth lies, which is common.

Regards Tom.
