We have spent 6 Winters here now and generally the weather is good. Most Sundays in the winter we go for a walk along the seafront in Garrucha and it is very pleasant. The sun goes around 5 pm and it can then be very cold indoors as the Spanish houses are certainly not built for winter. I suggest you look at the orientation of the apartment you rent and try to find one with an outside area where you will get the sun. We have two patios one sea facing which we do not use very often in Winter, but most days we can sit out in the afternoon on our other one and catch the Ray's until the sun goes down. I also suggest cosy slippers and PJs for night time relaxing.

Hope you enjoy your time here.

It all depends on where you want to go. Public transport in general is not that good over here. Garrucha has an hourly service throughout the year to Mojacar one way and Vera the other way. From Vera bus station you can get to most places by changing buses. The bus service Vera to Mojacar although it is only hourly, in the winter is reliable and usually on time.
