I have traveled many times since Brexit my Irish passport has never been stamped.

Hi, I am Irish and naturally hold an Irish Passport which has never been stamped while travelling within the EU or travelling from Ireland to Spain with a stopover in UK. However, in recent years I have noticed the passport is almost always scanned on arrival in Spain and coming home to Ireland. So although no problems so far , big brother is watching and have all your movements on a computer which may be relevant some day. In particular , one would have to be careful not to spend more than 183 days in Spain in any calendar year or you could be deemed tax resident with its implications and filing obligations.

The reason Irish passports are scanned is very simple. Ireland did not sign the Schengen Treaty and therefore is not part of the Schengen free travel area
