Brexit and Schengen travel?

I've read a little about to 90 days (Schengen) does this apply to those who have an Irish passport or is it only for EU passport holders?

If you have a Irish passport you are a EU passport holder it's anyone who holds a British passport after 31 December who may have problems (whish I had a Irish passport)
